2009

Simon was admitted as a solicitor in February 2005 and first called to the Bar in 2009. He practices in Building & Construction Law, Commercial Litigation and Family Law (Property).

Simon has experience in complex property matters in Family Law, QBCC matters in Construction Law (Administrative Review), and regularly appears in the Applications and Commercial List in the District and Supreme Court of Queensland. His commercial practice includes interlocutory injunctions, banking work, building and construction disputes, and matters involving Australian Consumer Law. Simon also has particular interests in disputes involving blockchain and crypto-currency, intellectual property, confidential information, and restraint of trade issues.

Before joining the Bar, Simon worked with Clayton Utz in Insurance Litigation, Commercial Property, Information Technology and Mergers & Acquisitions. He later joined Baker & McKenzie's London office, working in their Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity teams.

Simon holds a Bachelor of Arts from UQ, a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws from QUT, and is an accredited Mediator. While primarily practicing in Brisbane, he is available for matters in regional courts and interstate jurisdictions.
