Dr Kerri Mellifont QC has been admitted as a Barrister since 1994, taking silk in 2010. She practises predominantly in the areas of administrative law, criminal and regulatory law, administrative law and medical.   She was a member of the Psychologist’s Board of Queensland 2005 until 2010. She holds a doctorate in the topic of illegally and improperly obtained evidence and is the author of the book on that topic entitled “Fruit of the Poisonous Tree”.  She was the senior legal officer in the Forde Commission into Child Abuse and she was one of the Senior Counsel assisting the Flood Commission of Inquiry.
